What is Medicare Advantage (Part C)?

Medicare Advantage (also called Part C) is an all-in-one alternative to Original Medicare. These plans are offered by private insurance companies approved by Medicare. With a Medicare Advantage plan, you still have Medicare—but you may get extra benefits and predictable costs that aren’t included with Original Medicare.

If you qualify for both Medicare and Medicaid (AHCCCS in Arizona), you may be eligible for a Dual Eligible Special Needs Plan (D-SNP).
These plans are designed specifically for people with limited income and resources who want all their benefits in one coordinated plan.
